Safe computing are methods where you keep your computer safe from unwanted strangers. These strangers include hackers, or simply people other than you that shouldn't know your private information. These methods help users keep their information and data safe, but also they can furthur use their computers freely, without worries.
Examples of safe computing is to have antivirus and firewalls installed. the antivirus can protect you from any virus that try to take control of your computer. The antivirus will scan for any malware and warn you to delete them. Some malware may have hidden threats, but recent antivirus softwares are even able to detect unseen threats. The firewalls keep dangerous traffic out of your computer, so that your computer can run fast and safe.
Not only softwares, but there are things you can do personally without outside help. You can simply delete any sensitive information as soon as you don't need them. This will get rid of your risks of that information getting leaked. You can also limit the amount of information you leak to others. This wll also reduce the chances of private information getting leaked, since nobody will know it except you.
